Virgin Gorda Island Tour
Marvel at the panoramic views from Gorda Peak and visit the picturesque copper mine ruins on this island drive.
Board your open-air safari bus at the tender dock and travel through Spanish Town before ascending the dramatic Gorda Peak. Photo stops are made enroute overlooking beautiful Savannah Bay Beach and at the summit of Gorda Peak. Returning down Gorda Peak the tour stops for views of the surrounding islands before passing back through Spanish Town and along Millionaire's Road to the historical monument at Copper Mine Point. This site was mined first by Spanish settlers in the 18th century and subsequently by Cornish miners 150 years later. After departing the mine, stop at The Mine Shaft Café with its landscaped grounds and fantastic views for a complimentary fruit punch. Continue your tour to the "Top of The Baths." Enjoy the views of the surrounding islands and browse in the several small souvenir shops set amidst the large boulders, prior to returning to the tender dock.
SPECIAL NOTES
This tour stops at the "Top of The Baths" and does not include a visit to the actual Baths. The Baths are not visible from this stop.
