Take in the sights on a narrated drive through Bergen. Traverse mountain tunnels to Hardangerfjord and visit Holdhus Old Church. Hailed as the "Queen of Fjords," the Hardanger offers snow-capped mountains and views of Norway's third largest glacier. Enjoy a brief stroll beneath dramatic Steinsdal Falls.

Hardangerfjord - Hardangerfjord is also described as Norway's "Orchard Fjord." Your scenic drive travels along its shores with panoramic views of orchards and villages framed by snow-capped mountain peaks. On clear days you have views of the Folgefonna, the third-largest glacier in Norway.

Holdhus Old Church - While the current church dates to the 18th century, it also incorporates a large portion of an early 14th-century stave church.

Vangdal - Stop for dramatic views back to Holdhus from the shoulder of the "Helleristning" road.

Steinsdalfossen - The falls arc away from the mountainside, allowing visitors to walk behind the curtain of water.

A traditional country-style lunch is served in the village of Øystese.

Board your motorcoach for a brief city drive. Travel past Bergenhus Fortress, King Håkon's Hall, and Rosenkrantz Tower. View the Bryggen and Torget Fish Market. From Bergen, continue south along the Bjørnefjorden to Hatvik. Cross the fjord by ferry to Venjaneset and Holdhus. Continue to Mundheim for your drive along Hardangerfjord. Head inland, traversing mountain tunnels to the Kvamskogen Plateau, a popular winter sports area. Continue to Gulbotn, an alpine ski center. Drive along the Sørfjord to Bergen.

Bring Norwegian Kroner or credit cards for additional purchases.

Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing suited to the day's conditions. Bring a hat and a sweater or light jacket.
